According to a recent announcement by the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) - https://opi.gr/wp-content/uploads/08_09_2025.pdf - entities without the necessary authorization from the Ministry of Culture do not have the right to manage the intellectual property rights and related rights of creators and performers, nor to issue licenses for public performance of music in restaurants, cafes, and other businesses in Greece.

With the Distribution July 2025 (2025S1), AUTODIA will distribute a total of approximately €11.4M in gross royalties for H1 2025 to its members – composers, songwriters, authors and music publishers – as well as to sister societies. On Tuesday, July 8, the sending of payments to rightsholders began. Of the total amount, the net royalties that creators and other rightsholders will receive, amount to approximately €9M.

With the participation of 200 representatives from Collective Management Organizations (CMOs), music publishers and technology providers, the annual meeting of the Society Publisher Forum (SPF), organized by CISAC and ICMP (International Confederation of Music Publishers), was held in Toronto, with the collaboration of organizations such as AIMP, IMPA, IMPF, Music Publishers Canada, APEM, CMRRA, as well as sister society SOCAN.
