Participants highlighted their strong concerns about the unauthorised use of music in training AI systems, calling for binding transparency obligations and a unified European advocacy. The event also highlighted the growing collaboration between publishers, creators and policymakers, with initiatives such as the ICMP Metadata Expert Group gaining increasing importance.

Overall, the Conference highlighted Europe as a progressive force seeking to protect authors’ rights, to strengthen data infrastructures and build a coordinated music industry response to emerging global challenges.
