On Tuesday, July 8, the sending of distribution reports to rightsholders began. Of the total amount, the net royalties that creators and other rightsholders will receive, amount to approximately €9M, recording an increase of 11.5% in gross and 9.9% in net, compared to the corresponding H1 2024.

Positive results by the General Assembly
The favorable image was reinforced by the results of the recent General Assembly held on Friday, July 4, with the participation of many creators, heirs and music publishers.
During the annual meeting, positive financial results were presented for 2024, a year in which total gross revenue amounted to €30.4M, while operating costs were limited on average to 19.8%. All items on the agenda were approved by the plenary, while the green light was given for the start of payments to members and other rightsholders by the end of the week.
A key characteristic of progress, but also of the significant position held by the leading Greek Society in the field of collective management, is that over a 7-year period (2018-2024), its total revenues exceeded approximately €98M. The net royalty amount distributed and to be distributed to creators/rightsholders and sister societies amounts to approximately over €71M.
The CEO Margarita Panagiotopoulou presented the main developments and actions implemented last year at a financial, operational and technical level, highlighting their contribution to shaping this year's positive report.
For his part, the BoD Chairman Yiannis Glezos stressed the need for more dynamic and direct action by CMOs and their representative bodies, both at European and international level, with the aim of effectively protecting authors’ rights against the serious challenges posed by AI.
