Both AUTODIA and PEIRAS agreed that the smooth functioning of the market is based on the mutual compliance with the terms of transparency, respect and healthy dialogue, for the benefit of both Greek composers and lyricists, and users of musical works.
AUTODIA started its operation in 2007 with the aim of protecting the rights of the domestic and international musical repertoire and today represents over 28 million musical works. It manages the rights of Greek and foreign composers and lyricists through both direct membership contracts and representation agreements with 85 collecting societies from all over the world, as well as leading music publishers' rights. It collects and distributes royalties from all revenue sources and is a regular member of all global and European confederations/associations of authors' organizations (CISAC, GESAC, BIEM).
The Pan-Hellenic Union of Radio Station Owners (PEIRAS), was founded in 2002 and is the largest Media Union in Greece, with members totaling over 375 radio stations operating legally in all prefectures, except Athens and Thessaloniki.
