The top-tier European Meeting of international stature for Copyright is being organized for the first time in Greece, April 17 & 18, with the participation of 140 top executives from the world's largest Collective Management Organizations (CMOs), such as those of France, Germany, the USA, Italy, Spain, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, etc.
The "CISAC European Committee" Conference, in which observers from all over the world participate, is co-organized by the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers 'CISAC' and the accredited Greek Collective Management Organization for music copyright 'AUTODIA' which represents in Greece, in addition to the Greek, the entire foreign music repertoire, through contracts with more than 80 CMOs, as well as music publishers, such as Sony, Universal, Warner, etc.
Critical and timely issues that have been intensely concerning the international creator community recently, will be put on the table through speeches, panel discussions and research by expert analysts in the field of collective management: Artificial Intelligence with the challenges and opportunities it presents for music artists, digital music streaming platforms, international developments in the music industry and the impact on creators, as well as the implementation of the Digital Single Market Directive by various European countries.
At the opening of the Conference, greetings will be delivered by the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni, the Deputy Minister of Culture Christos Dimas and the President of AUTODIA and composer Yannis Glezos.
Opening speeches will be given by CISAC Director General Gadi Oron, as well as by AUTODIA General Manager Margarita Panagiotopoulou, followed by panel discussions and presentations on all topics.
It is worth noting that the President of CISAC, which represents a total of 5,000,000 creators from 225 creators' Organizations in the fields of music, theatre, literary works, audiovisual productions and visual arts, is the famous active composer and highly active defender of the rights of creators everywhere, Björn Ulvaeus of the legendary ABBA.
