The challenges of Artificial Intelligence and digital technology in general for copyright and collective management will be highlighted in a unique One-Day Conference co-organized in Athens for the first time by the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers 'CISAC' and the Collective Management Organization for music copyright 'AUTODIA', in the presence of leading professors, lawyers, creators, and intellectual property professionals, as well as representatives of Collective Management Organizations from Greece and abroad.
At the Conference under the general title "Challenging Issues in Copyright and Collective Management", which is being organized on Tuesday 16/4, at 17:00, in the historical building of the Academy of Athens, the challenges and opportunities presented by Artificial Intelligence regarding copyright issues will be put on the table, as well as matters of ensuring fair remuneration for creators from music streaming platforms and works in general.
Keynote speakers will be the Director General of CISAC Gadi Oron, the Professor at the University of Nicosia Law School Irini Stamatoudi, and the Professor at the University of Nottingham Law School Paul Torremans.
Greetings will be delivered by the Professor Emeritus at the University of Athens Law School and Member of the Academy of Athens Michalis Stathopoulos, and the Deputy Minister of Culture Christos Dimas.
The Conference is taking place within the framework of the presentation of the book "EU Copyright Law. A Commentary", I. Stamatoudi and P. Torremans (eds.) - Edward Elgar Publishing, United Kingdom and USA (2nd ed., 2021).
